Union of Hill Tribe Villages
Baan Pa Oo (The Union of Hill Tribe Villages) in Nanglae Sub-District, Chiang Rai Province is a project that has been designed and implemented since 1992 with the main objectives to unify every hill tribes in Chiang Rai Province together in one place in order to preserve their cultures and traditions for cultural tourism purpose and ultimately to support development of Chiang Rai Province’s tourism industry. In addition, this is a model of eco and agricultural tourism based on His Majesty the King’s Self Sufficiency Principle.
